CHAPIN, S.C. (WIS) – Interstate 26 East was blocked on Friday afternoon after a crash involving multiple vehicles.
Traffic was completely at a standstill, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
“I-26 is a mess, take an alternate route if possible,” the Little Mountain Fire Department posted on Facebook.
Cameras with SCDOT show a crash occurred on the Interstate near mile marker 89.
Pictures from the scene showed at least three cars were involved and one car was completely charred.
The fire department said there were only minor injuries in the crash.
