CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (CHIPPEWA FALLS AREA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT PRESS RELEASE) – The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District (CFAUSD) today announced that it has been informed of a potential change in ownership of its current school bus transportation provider. This change is expected to take effect by November 1, 2024.
Key points:
CFAUSD has been notified of a potential ownership change for its current bus service provider. The District has received assurances that this transition should not disrupt current transportation services. All existing bus routes, schedules, and service levels are expected to remain in place. The safety and reliability of student transportation continues to be one of the District’s top priorities. CFAUSD leadership and the School Board are actively involved in overseeing this transition.
“Our primary focus throughout this process is ensuring the continuity and quality of transportation services for our students,” said Jeff Holmes, Superintendent of CFAUSD. “We are working diligently with all parties involved to make this pending transition as seamless as possible for our students, families, and staff.”
The District emphasizes that families should not experience any immediate changes to their children’s bus services. All current routes, pick-up times, and drop-off locations are expected to remain the same. CFAUSD is committed to transparency and will provide updates to the community as more information becomes available. The District anticipates having additional details to share by late October.
