Route 24 north in Fall River, Massachusetts, has been temporarily shut down after a serious crash Friday morning, according to the Department of Transportation.
MassDOT said all northbound traffic is being detoured off the Route 24 exit 8 off-ramp and then detoured back onto Route 24 north through the exit 8 on-ramp.

Drivers will see variable message boards on Interstate 195 and other nearby locations, telling them to avoid the area, including roads like Route 79, said MassDOT.

Anyone driving on Route 24 should expect delays. Details on the crash were not made available.
