MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation says a crash that closed a part of the interstate has cleared, but traffic remains congested.
Eastbound traffic on I-526 is backed up several miles following that crash.

Those traveling on I-526 should expect delays and seek alternate routes where possible. Backups seem to be affecting the majority of I-526 and drive times to get from West Ashley to Mount Pleasant climbed to over two hours after 8 a.m.
