The first look at Yelena, Bucky, and their teammates in Thunderbolts* has finally been provided by Marvel Studios’ first official footage of the 2025 movie. While the movie and TV reveals of SDCC 2024 offered insights into Thunderbolts* and the other MCU movies on the horizon, the footage shown was exclusive to those in attendance. Who’s On Marvel’s Thunderbolts Team?
The Roster Consists Of Several Morally Gray MCU Characters
Close
As alluded to, not every member of Thunderbolts* cast of characters was visible in the first footage shown for the film. This begs the question of what the entire roster for the titular team looks like. Evidently, five of the members of the Thunderbolts are Red Guardian and Yelena Belova from Black Widow, Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp, Bucky Barnes of Captain America fame, and U.S. Agent, who debuted in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The other two members of the team who are not shown in Marvel’s footage are interesting characters, to say the least. One is also from Black Widow, the MCU’s Taskmaster. Taskmaster received little depth in Black Widow, making her appearance in Thunderbolts* that much more intriguing. The final member of the Thunderbolts team is expected to be their leader, Valentina Allegra De Fontaine, a character who has appeared throughout the MCU’s Phases 4 and 5. Val’s motivations are still unclear in the MCU, meaning Thunderbolts* will be more vital than anything to fleshing out her mysterious goals in the franchise.
