Almost two years after the Midland City Council narrowly approved a resolution recommending that one-way Buttles Street be narrowed from three lanes to two, the city’s governing body revisited the topic on Monday at the request of the Michigan Baseball Foundation.
And following spirited discussion, the council approved an amended resolution directing city staff to work with Michigan Department of Transportation staff and Michigan Baseball Foundation representatives to explore the potential of certain design alternatives, except for those on Indian Street.
