COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation is looking for the public to comment on four bridge replacement projects, including two million-dollar projects in Fairfield county.
Two bridges are going to be replaced in Fairfield County, one 90-foot bridge on Park Road over Sawney’s Creek which will cost $3.6 million, and another 90-foot bridge replacement of Two Creek Road over Big Creek which will cost $3.5 million.
These projects are to address “structural deficiencies” and will bring the bridges up to current standards, according to SCDOT.
Public comment begins on Thursday and extends through April 11.
Those who want to give their input on the projects can reach out to Ms. Syrees Gillens Oliver, public involvement director, SCDOT Public Engagement Office at 955 Park Street, P.O. Box 191, Columbia, S.C. 29202 or by email at scdotpubliccomment@scdot.org.
