SCDOT works to cover oil spill in Bishopville

BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is working to cover an oil spill in Bishopville, according to Lee County Fire and Rescue (LCFR).
LCFR reported the spill to be 250 gallons of transformer oil between Lee State Park Road and Interstate 20 southbound on U.S. 15 North, North Main Street, Sumter Highway and South Main Street. The oil was being transported from a manufacturing company in Darlington County.
Officials said the leak is contained.
