RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Emergency repairs on I-95 will cause major delays for morning commuters on Thursday.
The Virginia Department of Transportation is closing two lanes on I-95 near Arthur Ashe Boulevard – impacting both directions.
VDOT says a damaged pipe on I-95 needs emergency repairs due to the excessive water from Tropical Storm Ophelia.
Crews stayed on the scene performing repairs throughout the night and will remain in the area until 7 a.m.
The left and center lanes are closed. Drivers can expect delays during their morning commute.
