Crash on I-26 leaves all westbound lanes blocked

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A Thursday morning crash on I-26 West has caused all lanes to be blocked, according to cameras with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).
The crash occurred near mile marker 90, which is near Columbia Avenue and Peak Street in Chapin.
It is unclear at this time what circumstances led to the crash, what conditions those involved are in and when the westbound lanes on I-26 are expected to reopen.
Drivers are advised to expect delays if driving in this area and are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
