KANSAS CITY, Mo. — June Berry nominated Samantha Overman for the FOX4 Pay It Forward on behalf of all Kansas City Area Transportation Authority employees.
“Samantha is an executive assistant who makes everyone feel special,” Berry said.
“She’s always smiling and always thinking of other people.”
Berry said Samantha inspired her after she chose 10 angels from their Christmas tree to purchase gifts for. Angel Tree programs provide new clothing and toys to children in need each year.
“Samantha cares about people,” Berry said. “And we want her to know we care about her.”
Overman was very surprised when she received the gift card. She even said she wished she could give it away to someone else.
