The Boston Celtics closed out a mini homestand Friday with a gritty win over the Atlanta Hawks. Now they venture back on the road for a four-game trip, starting Sunday against a much-improved Charlotte Hornets squad.
The Hornets beat the Celtics 108-89 when these teams met for the first time this season March 4 at TD Garden. Boston’s 89 points were its second-lowest single-game total of the season so far.
Beating the red-hot Hornets could again prove difficult with Jaylen Brown and Derrick White ruled out. The C’s will need a strong performance from Jayson Tatum and others to leave Charlotte with a victory.
